About Dan & Magyar Electric, Inc. electrical contracting:

Magyar Electric is an electrical contracting business for the purpose of providing clients with high quality electrical installations. I personally have over 39 years experience starting with a formal four year electrical apprenticeship through the NJATC and I'm affiliated with the IBEW & an a member of National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

During the length of my career I've had a varied work experience and worked myself "up through the ranks".  Education, job skills and experiences that I've accumulated along the way have helped form my vision for utilizing our present technology which provides a way for Businesses, Building owners and Homeowners to become more energy independent.  I've taken steps to make sure that my company can participate in and help our country achieve that goal.

In that education never really stops,  I've attended numerous training classes over the course of my career and I continue to educate myself on the new products, procedures,  equipment and technology that directly and indirectly benefits my company and clients.  My affiliation with NECA and the NJATC is very beneficial by providing continuing education to keep abreast of new technology and advances in the electrical field.

Lately with the slowing economy, I get many requests to consult with a client in order to lower their electrical consumption and save them money they could use for operating capital.  We first look at their electrical bills, and determine what their largest loads are. Energy surveys then pin point where their respective electrical costs are and a determination is made on where likely improvements can be made.  A plan is then proposed to effect these changes.

Lighting loads in buildings and offices can be reduced by implementing Advanced lighting controls, and most importantly commissioning the system.  This will qualify the building owner for rebates available from the utility provider.  In the home lighting costs can be reduced by occupancy or motions sensors.  Then a more comprehensive examination of the remaining electrical load is conducted.  (It's surprising to note: that all electrical savings enacted come off the most expensive rates that are paid by that respective client.)

If you have a pool there's new technology available to help you save up to 90% of your electrical costs depending on the condition of your pool pump.  This is accomplished via variable frequency controlled pool pump motors which have the ability to vary, (reduce) speed which grants substantial electrical savings, and with the slower flow through the filter, it becomes more efficient at removing contaminants from the pool water.  Then the pump can be set to operate at off peak times reducing the load on the electrical grid.

To achieve more energy conservation after performing the preliminary methods above, I recommend considering the installation of a photo-voltaic system to impact those loads not easily reduced such as air conditioning.  Solar arrays are one of the best ways to invest in your Business & Home and become less impacted by increasing electrical rates.
